At Logora, as facilitators of online debates, our mission is to create the best possible discussion spaces. We want to offer our users the best conditions to express their ideas, to defend them, but also to understand and confront other points of view.
In order to provide our users with the best debate experience, we have created this user guide. It will help you understand how to write arguments that best meet our relevance criteria. It will help you identify what type of content does not belong on Logora's debate spaces. Finally, you will learn how our moderation system works.
In order to encourage our debaters to write the best possible contributions, the best arguments are highlighted by being displayed at the top of the debate space and at the bottom of the article. Writing quality contributions also earns you points. These points may allow you to be asked by the editors to write an opinion piece or co-construct an article.
The more relevant your argument is considered to be, the more prominence it gets.
Some debates cover thousands of articles. The contributions considered most relevant to these debates are placed at the foot of thousands of articles and seen by tens of thousands of readers.
Working on your argument allows you to give your opinion a great echo.

Indeed, the substantive message and the thesis defended by the debaters are not taken into account when assessing the relevance of the contributions.
Our moderation team operates in complete neutrality, its judgement is not biased by value or ideology
As debate is at the heart of our work, it is important to us that everyone can freely express their point of view. However, we would like our platform to remain conducive to constructive, well-argued and quality debate.
Constructive criticism of the editorial line, contributions or content of articles is permitted.
Example: "I don't agree with you, on the contrary I think that .... "is validated. What nonsense" is rejected.
We know that the issues discussed often touch on causes and values dear to our users. It is understandable that some people feel the need to use strong words, heated arguments and a firm or aggressive tone. However, it is our duty, for the sake of the work of journalists and the community of readers, to maintain spaces for debate where discourse is cordial, respectful and constructive.
Therefore, the undesirable contents described below are rejected by our teams.
Failure to comply with these rules may result in a warning from our team, a temporary ban from the area, or even account deletion for repeated breaches.
Finally, users can report contributions that contravene this charter by using the "Report" function under each contribution. The Logora debate space is also what you make of it. Help us to maintain a quality debate.
Following the rules of relevance listed above, our moderation is handled by an algorithm on the one hand and by moderation teams on the other.
To ensure that the debate is held properly, the algorithm sorts the contributions severely. If it can judge with certainty that the contribution is in order, it is accepted in a few seconds. If it considers that the moderation rules may have been breached, the contribution is "put on hold for moderation" for verification by our moderation team. It is then studied impartially by our teams before being put online or rejected. As this part of the processing is not carried out by an algorithm, its duration can vary from a few minutes to 48 hours.
We ask users to respect this time limit and to contact the moderation team (moderation@logora.fr) only if they disagree with the moderation or if the delay is too long.
We are constantly improving our process to shorten this processing time. However, it is necessary to maintain a quality debate space.
